After a number of months or years of using Abacus, you'll wake up one morning and realize that you or your predecessor should never have given all your customers number codes. After all, the code "FEDEX" is more intuitive than "241673". What do you do if you need to change one or all of your customer codes? Without this utility, there is simply nothing you can do as months or years of data in dozens of files has to be changed.
